ABOUT US

Northern Pillar Road is a Gardnerian Coven. We are currently open to new members who want to worship the old Gods and practice Witchcraft with others. Though we are focused on building a community together there is plenty of room to grow and expand within the tradition for those looking to do so.

Membership in the group is structured. We encourage our members to be who they are and to grow how they see fit, but we are an all inclusive coven so we do not tolerate discrimination against race, sexual orientations, sexual identity, or any outright prejudice or bigotry toward others in the group or out.

Members are expected to attend all meetings, but we do understand that emergencies do arise. We just ask that an earnest effort be made for group meetings. Meetings are planned out for the year, so this is usually not a problem.

As a Gardnerian Coven we have a degree system, but we do not put any significance into a Hierarchy. We are all Witches and we are all working at our own pace with different ambitions and goals within the Craft. We offer many ways to participate with the coven. We have Guest options during the Sabbats. We invite you to come celebrate the Sabbats with us and get to know us without any major commitment on your part. The next step after Guest would be Novice (what we call a “Pagan”). During this time the basics are learned, and we all get a feel for each other. This period usually lasts a year and a day. If after this period, you would like to join the coven there would be a coven consensus and if approved you would become a full member through initiation.
